“The water was not fit to drink. To make it palatable, we had to add whisky. By diligent effort, I learned to like it.” – Winston Churchill
What do you do in Wisconsin on the coldest day ever recorded? You get warmed up by talking to another Wisconsinite about humor! That's right! That's how we roll in the land of beer, brats, and cheese!
On this episode I have the pleasure of spending some time with my good friend, Liysa Callsen. She shares her own humor journey, her brand of comedy and what she do if she was stuck in an airport with me.
Don't miss out on this year's conference! It's rolling up fast and you won't want to miss out on what we've got going on April 4th through 7th in Chicago, IL! Check it out at www.aath.org.
Here's what's up with Liysa...
Callsen trained at Second City, and currently performs her solo improv show U&I for anyone that wants to hear her go on and on. Teaching improv tools for business, she speaks to companies and organizations across the country. She has performed and produced comedy for over 10 years. Dear in the Headlights, Cupid Comedy, Ginger Snaps Improv. Also, she does what she needs to do and joined her husband's carpentry business, so sometimes she holds a mic, sometimes she holds a hammer! Someday she aspires to do both.
